Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
Iowa State University’s Department of Apparel, Events, and Hospitality Management invites applications for a Lecturer (non-tenure track) position.
Position responsibilities include undergraduate teaching, in a class to be determined based upon need. Lecturers teach a variety of courses in textiles and clothing including apparel production, patternmaking, textile science, fashion illustration, history of clothing, museum studio, entrepreneurship, merchandising, buying, visual merchandising, and aesthetics.
Required Education and Experience:
A master’s degree in apparel, textiles & clothing or related field by the start date.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Experience that demonstrates a record of successful teaching in a broad array of merchandising, apparel, design, and product development undergraduate coursework;
- Experience teaching online courses
The appointments may be Full Time or Part Time depending upon need.
